About Us
Hi, I'm Andrea. Wife to Doug and work at home Mom (WAHM) to Myles who will be 4 in August and Kylie who is 13 months already.
When I was pregnant with Myles we considered cloth diapering. Doug talked to his friends about it and they told him it was awful so we didn't give it a 2nd thought. When Myles was about 6 months, I started to think about cloth diapering again. This time I did some research and found out that cloth diapering is really easy, fun and would save us some money. So, we started... and loved it. I also figured that I would try cloth menstrual pads... we didn't put paper on our son, so why would I use it for myself! Again, I loved it and realized it's really not difficult at all.
We loved cloth diapering and natural parenting so much, we decided to open The Cloth Diaper Market so we could help others enjoy the benefits of cloth diapering and natural parenting. Kylie was conceived shortly after the opening and we became very excited to have a newborn in the house to try out many more styles of cloth diapers! We had a fabulous (unexpected) home birth and Kylie was born gently into our arms right in our own bedroom and on my Mother's birthday! What an amazing experience. Right from the start, I nurtured Kylie skin to skin at the breast, used only cloth post pardum pads and Kylies bottom felt only the comforts of soft (and cute) cloth.
It has be more than 5 years since I've used a disposible menstrual pad (since before I conceived Myles) and I can honestly say I'll never go back to disposibles, not even for traveling. Our children have enjoyed the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, cloth diapers, homemade baby foods and frequently being worn snuggly and close.
At The Cloth Diaper Market, our aim is to help you nurture your family in whatever way is best for you. We can help you choose a cloth diapering system that works for whatever stage you and your children are at, suggest cloth menstural solutions or even put you in touch with breastfeeding support if you need. Let us know how we can help.
Have a wonderful day. |
